At Pei Tou Kuo Hua Golf & Country Club, sustainability extends beyond course management through the innovative reuse of natural resources generated on site. Fallen branches collected from across the golf course are repurposed to produce wood vinegar, a natural by-product that forms the basis of the club’s eco-friendly range of shampoo, conditioner, and hand soap.
Rather than treating fallen timber as waste, the material is transformed through a specialised production process, creating a valuable natural ingredient with cleansing and antimicrobial properties. By incorporating wood vinegar into everyday products, the club gives new purpose to materials generated through routine course management while reducing waste and promoting the use of natural alternatives.
