Hørsholm Golf held its first Family Day in 2024, aimed at demonstrating that golf is a sport for the entire family, offering fun, education, and playfulness. The day was a great success, featuring 18 volunteers and over 100 attendees.
We set up eight different stations, including a putting competition, a tour of the par 3 course with volunteers, a showcase of the greenkeepers' machinery and equipment, a chipping contest, and concluded with food and drinks on the restaurant terrace.
Family Day not only resulted in several new members but also provided guests, volunteers, and existing members with a renewed understanding of how inclusive and enjoyable the sport can be. Highlighting golf as a family-friendly activity strengthens the club’s community and ensures the future of the sport by attracting new generations.
