Expansion of biodiversity through unused areas

Golfclub Interlaken Unterseen

Switzerland

Written by: Markus Steiner

In an effort to enhance biodiversity and increase the visual appeal of the golf course, sections of the course that either do not come into play or are marginally utilised are being revitalised through renaturalisation. These areas are undergoing changes through the deliberate sowing of wildflower meadows, flowering lawns, and other similar elements.

By doing so, the golf course not only fosters additional habitats for various species but also achieves a striking aesthetic charm. This ecological approach combines environmental preservation with the creation of a visually captivating experience for golfers.
