With financial support from the Walloon Region, 20 willow trees were planted and will eventually be managed as pollarded trees.
This traditional pruning method offers several benefits, with the most significant for the club being increased biodiversity. The cavities that form in the pollard heads provide shelter for cavity-nesting birds and threatened beetle species, while the trees also help protect the soil from erosion.
