We have made it our mission to change the way we manage our golf course, through reducing inputs on managed areas and increasing our unmanaged areas, which has increased the amount of wildlife using our facility. We have around 5 to 6 hectares of natural grassland which we cut and collect once per year, this has encouraged many native wildflowers to flourish.
We have built log walls and dry stone walls with hibernacula incorporated in the mounding behind, and we have erected pecking posts to give the birds of prey a prime hunting spot. These are just a few of the initiatives we have carried out to enhance the biodiversity of Greetham Valley.
