A newly-built staff welfare facility has given us the opportunity to think carefully about our energy profile in the building.
As such, it's fully insulated with an air source heat pump providing the energy for underfloor heating and hot water. This will maintain a comfortable environment for our colleagues without burning fossil fuels.
We look forward to monitoring the efficiency and seeing if we can apply the same technology to other buildings as their existing heating and hot water systems reach the end of their life span in future years.
