Earth Hour is a worldwide movement organised by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) that took place on Saturday, March 23, from 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm. This hour serves as a symbol of commitment to the planet, accountability for our ecological footprint, and a time to engage in dialogue and resource exchange to find real solutions to our environmental challenges.
Participation in Earth Hour 2024 at The Montgomerie Dubai was not just about turning off lights, reducing AC, and scrutinising every energy source in our buildings. It was also about promoting the initiative to our members and guests, encouraging the wider community to take part and become aware of our contributions. Moving forward, we will use the insights gained from this experience to adjust our schedule for lighting and other energy uses.
