In several areas away from the playing surfaces, piles of branches, cuttings and deadwood have been deliberately created. These diverse structures provide insects, small mammals and hedgehogs with shelter, food and places to overwinter. This simple measure creates valuable habitats and further enhances biodiversity. It also directly fulfils the CIP requirement in our GEO report to create new structural elements for wildlife every year.
