During 2024 and 2025, Golf & Country Club Neuchâtel installed a total of 60 bird nesting boxes as part of its commitment to bird conservation. These nesting boxes were purchased by club members, with additional boxes generously donated by the Sorbus Ornithological Association.
The initiative primarily aims to provide nesting sites for the European Pied Flycatcher (Ficedula hypoleuca) and the Common Redstart (Phoenicurus phoenicurus), two species whose populations have been declining in the region. Results for the European Pied Flycatcher have been particularly encouraging, with 14 successful broods recorded in 2025.
