Environmental stewardship and biodiversity enhancement are central to our approach and underpin our commitment to sustainable golf course management. A key indicator of the club’s ecological value is the identification of more than 250 insect species across the course and its surrounding habitats.

This rich diversity reflects the quality of the landscape and highlights the club’s role in supporting healthy, resilient ecosystems. Through thoughtful course management, we maintain a variety of habitats, including rough grassland, wildflower areas, woodland margins, and water features, providing essential food sources, shelter, and breeding sites for pollinators and other beneficial insects.

Our management practices are designed to balance excellent playing conditions with long-term environmental responsibility by reducing unnecessary inputs where possible and enhancing habitat connectivity across the site. The presence of such a diverse insect community demonstrates the success of these efforts and reinforces the important role that golf courses can play in conserving biodiversity and supporting nature recovery.
