We have just completed a three-year project to phase out all halogen lighting and convert entirely to LED across the facility in all areas managed by golf — including the Golf Academy, workshops, stores, administration, golf course floodlights and external parking. The decision was made to deliver this transition through our normal R&M replacement cycle over the three years.
Because LED provides greater coverage, many stores and larger areas required fewer luminaires. For example, the workshop was reduced from 30 dual halogen tube lights to just 16 LED units. The benefits include:
Increased brightness with fewer lamps
Reduced power usage
Lower operational replacement costs
Improved health and safety
