Community based solar energy project

GC Zeegrsloot participated in 2019 in a community based solar energy project. The project was realized by Zon op Alphen, a local energy cooperation. The project was fully financed by citizens of our municipality Alphen aan den Rijn, and comprised 221 solar panels on the driving range building.

GC Zeegersloot made available at no cost the roof of the driving range. A number of members of GC Zeegersloot living in Alphen aan den Rijn have participated. The electricity produced is delivered to the grid and the participants get paid back through the income from selling the electricity to an electricity company.
