2021
In December 2020 our Nature Committee renumbered, cleaned and mapped 177 nesting boxes on our golf course. The cleaning resulted in quite a few different finds this year: • 80% of the nesting boxes were inhabited. 47% by tits (great tit, blue tit, shiny head, black tit). • 14% were inhabited by the starling, with many coarse twigs • 6% were inhabited by the nuthatch, recognizable by a nest of tree flakes • The most special find was the cabinet with 13 fringe-tailed bats. For the future (2021) we are considering extra starling and owl cabinets.
