In 2024 we installed two bee hives as part of a wider project to link the local apiaries all along the East Neuk of Fife. We found a good fit with our values of maintaining biodiversity and working with the local community, and were able to install them in an inconspicuous corner of our land.
This was backed up with planting of wildflower strips to improve the pollen source and give the bees a good start in becoming established. Spring 2025 saw a further pair of hives added and we hope to have some Kingsbarns honey for sale in the pro shop from season 2026.
