Building knowledge of Bel Ombre’s coastal ecosystem

The Heritage Golf Club team from Le Château Golf Course recently took part in an awareness session at the Heritage Marine Education Centre. Guided by the on-site marine biologist, they explored the Bel Ombre Lagoon and gained insight into its biodiversity and significance to the region’s natural heritage. The Heritage Marine Education Centre plays a vital role in educating visitors about the lagoon’s ecosystem. Through guided tours and interactive displays, it encourages meaningful connections with the coastal environment and a deeper appreciation for marine life. For the team, this experience was both educational and inspiring, motivating them to share what they learned with their families and the wider community. In doing so, they contribute to raising awareness of marine conservation and strengthening the bond between the local community and the natural environment of Bel Ombre.
