As part of our sustainability efforts, we have chosen to foster nature by implementing 3 new beehives on the course to help secure the existence of our local bee populations. These globally threatened species of insect play a crucial role in ecosystem stability, including the pollination of our local wildflower meadows.
Our 3 hives are voluntarily managed by our Deputy Course Manager and the honey produced from the hives is sold locally. Income raised through the sale of our produce is reinvested into the maintenance of these hives which are planned to be financially self-sufficient within the next few years.
