In 2023, the #NWAChampionship introduced a new environmental initiative at Pinnacle Country Club, the host course for the tournament. Two bat houses have been installed in the protected native area, a commitment that extends throughout the year.
Designed to accommodate up to 70 bats each, these bat houses offer a safe roosting space for the bats, contributing to the preservation of their habitat. Simultaneously, these new habitats aim to bolster the bat population, providing a natural means to control unwanted pests and insects.
Educational signage was strategically placed during the tournament to educate spectators about this environmentally conscious initiative.
