As part of the construction of our new sports precinct, a 280,000-litre attenuation tank has been installed beneath the swimming pool. This tank is designed to store water for multiple uses, including irrigation, refilling the pool when needed, and circulating water throughout the precinct. It will also collect water from hard surfaces, such as walkways, the bowls facility, and the tennis and Padel courts, allowing the Club to reuse stored water.
This initiative is particularly exciting for Simbithi Country Club, given the recent water shortages in our province, which have significantly impacted operations. It also aligns closely with our commitment to sustainability, a core element of Simbithi Eco-Estate’s vision and strategic initiatives.
