We’ve built on a solid foundation. Over the past two years, the junior department has grown from merely existing to aiming higher. Inspired and supported by the Danish Golf Union’s Junior Pilot Project 2024, the club and foundation chose to invest in this area, leading to the hiring of a coordinator.
The coordinator’s primary tasks include creating a sustainable organization, attracting more members, increasing visibility, and establishing an appealing environment for young people. Strengthening the junior department is vital not only for the club's future but also for the sport's overall development. By making the club more family- and child-friendly, we increase the likelihood of it becoming an activity for the whole family.
The committee responsible for this area believes we’re on the right track. The organization has been strengthened, with junior membership rising from 57 to 103 in just six months, and most HG members are now familiar with the junior department. The young members are thriving and enjoying the community, they say.
