2026
2026
In 2025, Mjölby Golf Club took another step toward automated course maintenance by investing in five additional Husqvarna Ceora robotic mowers. This expansion enables the mowing of all rough and semi-rough areas on the front nine holes, as well as four additional holes on the back nine. The club’s long-term objective is to eventually mow all rough, semi-rough, and fairway areas using robotic technology.
One of the Ceora units has been fitted with a special attachment that gently pushes golf balls aside, allowing the driving range to be mown without disrupting daily operations. In addition, a ball-collecting robot from Relox Robotics has been installed on the driving range. Its capacity comfortably exceeds daily demand, as balls are collected continuously throughout the day.
Overall, the introduction of robotic solutions has enabled staff time and resources to be reallocated to other tasks. The driving range no longer needs to be closed for mowing or ball collection, resulting in increased revenue, reduced fuel consumption, and improved operational efficiency. A reduction in range ball loss has also been observed due to continuous collection.
