Throughout the sustainability system, key indicators are tracked, evaluated and measured over time to ensure a close understanding of the performance of the facility, new development or tournament.
Indicators cover a wide range of social and environmental data points. Indicators are also used by OnCourse programme users and GEO Certified entities to enable them to better understand performance and identify focal areas for continual improvement.
As a Code Compliant member of ISEAL, collating and tracking metrics is an essential component for certification reports that are published for every certified entity as part of the Sustainable Golf Directory.
In addition to Certification reports, OnCourse users can also receive an annual Sustainability Scorecard to help them track their progress yearly. A carbon footprint is also included, with recommendations on how to improve.
GEO Foundation for Sustainable Golf is a purpose-driven organization, founded to support and recognize sustainability and climate action in and through the sport of golf. As such, the following ‘Theory of Change’ underpins the approach and desired impacts of all of the work undertaken.
