Emirates Golf Club has begun a partnership with Wildflight to perform non-chemical feral bird abatement. This is to control the invasive Indian hooded crows the property has. With the absence of a large predator, the crows had increased to such an extent that they chased away other indigenous birdlife.
Hawks have been brought on to the golf course and fly every day. Once the hawks arrived on site it had a remarkable effect and changes happened very quickly which crows leaving the area and many species returning such as songbirds and migratory birds. This partnership has been great for the golf club and the habitats of birds around the course and long may that continue.
