Wild orchids flourish through reduced management

This year due to the COVID-19 restrictions and reduced golf we have reduced management on several areas of rough that would normally be cut for golf. There has been a marked increase in the quantity of wild orchid (Dactylorhiza fuchsil) in these areas. We have now left these areas for the season to allow nature to colonise them with other plants that are normally lost during mowing management.
