The Montgomerie Golf Dubai recently conducted an irrigation system audit on its greens sprinklers with two main goals: improving conditions for members and guests, and reducing water usage through enhanced uniformity. By simply changing the nozzles, which wear over time, we achieved a 42% improvement.
The cost for the new nozzles was 10,519 AED after discount. This change is projected to save 29,589 m³ of water per year, equating to a financial saving of 39,354 AED. Additionally, the increased precipitation rate has reduced the run times per sprinkler by 8 minutes per day, which should also lead to an overall reduction in electricity usage.
