Water saving at the Home of Italian Golf

We are aware that, as the Home of Italian Golf, we play a major role in leading the way for the sustainability of the whole golf community.

In 2012, we decided to switch to warm-season grasses in order to save water and reduce the use of pesticides to zero on fairways and tees. The use of Bermuda grass cultivars Tifway 419 and Patriot on these playing surfaces has allowed us to reduce the water usage by 40% and to considerably lower energy consumption.

This helps us to provide a better turf quality all year round. We were alo awarded 'Impegnati nel Verde' (Committed to Green) recognition for our water management by Federgolf in 2014.
