Volunteer-led sustainable work with the greenkeepers

Stichting Golf Duinzicht

Many extra pairs of hands help the greenkeepers to improve the golf course. Volunteers help by getting rid of the weeds on the greens with sharp knives, planting trees and shrubs, and removing leaves from the semi-rough. All these actions are carefully chosen by the GEO committee together with the greenkeeper to make sure that the long-term GEO vision regarding nature and golf are executed in the desired way.

Volunteers are rewarded with coffee breaks and a nice lunch. During the past years, an enormous amount of work has been done by these 70 members. And the average age of this group is well over 70!
