To shield newly planted trees from damage by sheep and deer, robust tree guards were fashioned from discarded pallets, old fenceposts, and storm-damaged chestnut palings once deployed for coastal erosion protection.

These materials, destined for landfill, have been repurposed, resulting in significant cost savings by avoiding the need to purchase new items whilst apdoting a new sustainable practice.
