Use of solar panels to recharge our golf carts

Golf Club Les Bois

Switzerland

Since 2017, the installation of our 175 square meters of solar panels on the roof of our driving range has had multiple benefits for our facility. Firstly, it has allowed us to recharge our 14 golf carts directly using solar energy, eliminating the need for external energy systems.

The solar panels play a role in generating over 20,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity annually. This sustainable energy not only powers our golf carts but also has the capacity to provide excess energy back to the grid, contributing to the wider energy network. As a result, our installation grants us access to clean, renewable energy production whilst supporting the national grid.

Additionally, this initiative has proven to be cost-effective, as it helps us save money on traditional energy sources. Moreover, by reducing our reliance on fossil fuels, we significantly contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, helping combat climate change.
