Uncultivated areas, such as forests, meadows and wetlands, serve as habitats for numerous animal and plant species. In La Mandria Park, these areas are home to a diverse fauna, including deer, wild boars, foxes, hares, badgers and nocturnal birds of prey such as owls, little owls and tawny owls.
In addition, there are rare species associated with mature forest environments. These areas not only support biodiversity, but also help in the management of natural resources. For example, the presence of native vegetation reduces the need for irrigation and the use of chemical fertilizers, since these plants are adapted to local conditions and require less maintenance.
Furthermore, the wetlands and lakes in the park, such as Lake Risera, provide essential habitats for wildlife and contribute to water quality. The uncultivated areas within the Circolo Golf Torino La Mandria are essential to maintain the ecological balance and promote sustainability.
We are committed to the conservation of these protected areas through an environmental management plan that includes the responsible use of water, the protection of soil quality and the protection of local flora and fauna.
