Traditional grassland farming means pesticide-free rough

Golf Club Klosters

Switzerland

Hundreds of years of traditional grassland farming have preserved the local flora at Klosters and we are committed to continuing this. Alpine meadow roughs around the course – harvested by local farmers – are designated pesticide and fertilizer free areas.

One result our club is proud of is appearing in Entomo Helvetica, a Journal for Swiss Entomologists, for the number of insect species found on site. It's not any extra work to do any of this and the results are also enjoyed by the golfer because the course looks like it belongs to the site.
