The transition to BioLPG

Royal Portrush Golf Club

Northern Ireland

Royal Portrush Golf Club has replaced its 25-year-old boiler, previously used for all clubhouse heating, with four condensing LPG boilers. These new boilers are capable of running on BioLPG, which can achieve up to 80% fewer greenhouse gas emissions.

The Club will soon begin transitioning its LPG requirements to BioLPG, further reducing its Scope 1 carbon footprint. BioLPG, also known as renewable propane or biopropane, is similar to traditional propane but is produced from renewable feedstocks such as plant and vegetable waste material, making it a more sustainable option compared to LPG.
