In the spring of 2013 we converted 18 pieces of our Jacobsen golf course maintenance equipment from gasoline powered to fully electric power. Making this change has provided a golf course that is quieter for the wildlife that live here and for the golfers who play.

We now save 9000 gallons of fuel and about $30,000 dollars per year, with zero carbon emissions and reduced health risks for our staff. This project continues to-date with lithium-ion battery powered equipment being purchased for other maintenance tasks.
