Midland Country Club (MCC) has significantly prioritized health and wellness, fostering an environment where members can engage in a variety of fitness and well-being programs. These initiatives are designed to enhance physical health and encourage friendly competition and community among participants.
MCC’s new fitness programming for this year included a strongman and strongwoman competition, nutritional classes, a restorative yoga and sound bath class, a yoga tasting class, and is highlighted by “The Murph Challenge”. Originally created to honor Navy Lieutenant Michael P. Murphy, the Murph Challenge consists of a 1-mile run, 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups, 300 squats, and another 1-mile run, all while wearing a weighted vest.
This grueling workout is a testament to participants' dedication and resilience, inspiring members to push their boundaries and support each other through the demanding routine. In totality the programming for the area is designed to build comradery while encouraging and promoting healthy, fulfilling and sustainable lifestyles in every aspect of one’s life.
