Supporting local schools and clubs within golf

To continue the club's support of the local community, for the last three years, we have teamed up with various associations and local sports groups to either host events or provide opportunities for locals to participate in golf. Each April, we partner with the Golf Foundation, Active Lincolnshire, and around 12 local schools to host a Tri-Schools Sports Festival on our practice ground. This event provides opportunities for children in schools who may not always have the chance to try golf for the very first time. Normally, around 120 pupils attend, where stations are set up with tri-golf equipment to allow them to experience golf in a smaller format. From this event, last year, we teamed up with Charles Baines Local School in Gainsborough, which returned to the club to host several on-course sessions after the festival.

We have also been the home venue for the University of Lincoln Golf Team for the past three years, as well as hosts to the RAF Waddington Team for their home fixtures. We feel it's important to support local teams. For 2025, we will also be hosting the Oncourse Foundation for a coaching and golf match between their veterans and members of Lincoln Golf Club.
