Successful nature walk inspires golfers and the community

Hooge Graven Golfclub Ommen

Netherlands

On September 18th, our course commissioner, Frans Borgonje, once again organized a nature walk. The event attracted both golfers and non-golfers.

In beautiful weather conditions, the group set off towards the heathland near hole 1. There, Frans kicked off the tour with insights into heathland management and the young pine trees emerging in the area. As the walk continued, participants discovered traces of roe deer, badgers, and even a fox. It felt like a true scouting adventure!

After the walk, everyone enjoyed a drink while Frans gave a presentation with more details about course management. All in all, it was another great success.

We plan to organize another nature walk next year, so if you missed it this time and would like to learn more about the flora and fauna on our golf course, you’ll have another chance to join us!
