In 2017, 150 solar panels were installed on the Emmeloord Golf Club's greenkeeper shed. The panels were placed on the roof of the old barn on the site. The barn is an original building, built during the construction of the Noordoostpolder, and is used for trolleys, storage, the golf shop, etc.
By placing the panels on the roof, we have not used any space of the golf course. With the panels, we generate 100% green energy, reduce the CO2 footprint of Golfclub Emmeloord and limit our energy costs.
