At St Andrews Links Castle Course, we undertook a policy to diversify our energy and fuel supply. We installed solar panels on the roofs of our maintenance facilities and sell some of the energy produced directly to the national grid.
The investment into this installation will be paid off in approximately 10 years, but has already led to an annual cost saving of £2,700. In addition to this, we have a number of electric hybrid vehicles, which also contributes to this saving.
