Solar panel installation helps meet energy demand and cut carbon

As part of the redevelopment of the greenkeeper sheds, the club installed an 85kW solar system with 152 PV modules incorporated on the roof. This system is designed to meet the day-to-day energy demands not only for the greenkeeping sheds but also for the practice range building and the newly installed member/guest EV charging points. The PV system has been sized to accommodate future energy needs as we transition course machinery to hybrid or electric models.

By incorporating these PV modules, we not only meet our current and future energy demands but also save money in the long run while reducing our Scope 1 and 2 carbon footprint from electricity use and fuel burning.
