Solar panel installation and EV chargers drive sustainability efforts

In 2022, the Club installed 330 solar panels on the clubhouse roof and greenkeeper buildings. This solar power now provides just over a third of our total electricity consumption. Additionally, we have installed electric vehicle (EV) chargers in the car park, accommodating up to six cars simultaneously.

By introducing these measures, we have been able to dramatically reduce our reliance on grid electricity, subsequently saving money, reducing our Scope 2 carbon footprint associated with electricity consumption, and lowering Scope 3 emissions from player travel. We also hope these changes will encourage players to travel more sustainably and adopt more eco-friendly lifestyle habits.
