Averaging in excess of 180,000 rounds every year, The Jockey Club KSC is one of the busiest public courses in Asia.

The sustainable golf experience sits at the heart of the offering and this includes solar energy for the entire transport experience. Customers travel to and from the island via solar-hybrid ferries and golfers enjoy solar canopy golf carts whilst they play. This technology allows the golf carts to be used all day without being recharged - adding additional income to the facility - whilst the average battery life is extended saving on maintenance and replacement costs (approx. HK$400,000).

It is estimated that the solar ferry and solar golf carts bring fuel savings of around 50% and reduce CO2 emissions by around 1,280 tonnes a year.
