俱乐部近年新引进的POGO Pro土壤检测仪，能够切实掌握草坪草的需水规律、草坪草的水分状况和土壤的水分状况，合理利用土壤保水剂和渗透剂，改善土壤环境，增加水分的利用率，从而科学合理的灌溉草坪，节约用水。同时适时施用草坪生长调节剂，降低草坪草的蒸散量、增强抗逆境（抗旱）能力，延缓草坪生长速度，减少草坪修剪频率，节省人工、肥料、农药、机械成本，减少碳排放污染。高尔夫球场作为一个巨大的生态系统，规范化的生态环境维护举措对球场的可持续发展意义非凡。对此，金鸡湖高尔夫俱乐部一方面严格管控场地的农药和化肥使用俱乐部严格管控场地的农药和化肥使用，农药首选低毒环保型，且仅在病虫害高发期施用，并逐年减少农药使用的频次，最大程度实现对土壤的自然养护，营造出健康的球场生态环境。

The POGO Pro soil detector, recently introduced by the club, enables precise monitoring of turf grass water needs, soil moisture levels, and overall turf water status. This allows for the effective use of soil water-retaining agents and penetrants, supporting efficient, science-based irrigation practices to conserve water. Additionally, timely application of growth regulators helps manage lawn growth, reducing the need for frequent mowing, and cutting down on labour, fertiliser, pesticide, and machinery costs, which also lowers carbon emissions.
The club also maintains strict control over pesticide and chemical fertiliser use, choosing low-toxicity, eco-friendly options and applying them only during peak periods for diseases and pests. The frequency of pesticide use decreases each year, promoting natural soil conservation and fostering a healthy, sustainable ecosystem on the course.
