Lahinch Golf Club remains committed to promoting biodiversity across both golf courses. Implementation of the annual rough management programme has delivered a considerable increase in diversity of both grasses and wildflowers which have provided a habitat for pollinators, reptiles and animals.
The quality of the wider rough has provided an amazing display of wildflower interest. Bee orchids have been recorded in record numbers whilst other orchid species including pyramidal orchid have been noted in profusion. The increase in wildflowers is only possible given the ongoing management geared towards thinning the sward.
