Rough management brings explosion of colour and life

Grange Golf Club

In recent years, 5 hectares of previously mown rough have been returned as natural habitats. The majority of these areas are classed as meadow being cut once and collected annually to encourage the development of finer grass species. Within these areas, 3000m2 are treated as wildflower areas. These areas are prepared and seeded annually. The resulting colour explosion and hive of insect activity is a sight to behold. This project runs in conjunction with our beehives.
