A big target has been to rewild large areas of the course, creating habitat of real value to replace large areas of previously mown grass. Most of this area was simply created by leaving meadows to grow and then manage them with annual cut and collect. This in turn saved 60 man hours a week in peak season as well as reducing fuel consuption by 2,500 liters of diesel per year.

We now have 60 of our 100 hectares managed purely for wildlife, with a good range of diversity across the site. Grasslands, scrub, woodland, hedgerows and ponds support a large variety of species across the course.
