As part of our programme of bunker maintenance, we undertake the rebuilding of over 30 bunkers during each winter using our own team. Turf (some 3000 sqm of own sustainably grown turf) and sand is sourced from our own turf nursery and open sand dune area as opposed to purchasing it from an external supplier - reducing costs to the club, possibly unsustainable material use, and removing the carbon footprint from transport. By using our own greenstaff we upskill our workforce and involve them in construction projects that might otherwise be outsourced.
