After periodic cutting and pruning of Salix Mongolia (a native willow tree), we use the off-cut branches for a variety of uses.
These include knitting small things like tee markers, a variety of course signs, and planting in exposed sand areas to act as a windbreak and help with sand-fixing and reducing soil erosion.
