Restoring wetlands: creating habitats for wildlife

We embarked on the restoration of former wetlands that had become overgrown with reeds, rendering them unsuitable for supporting animal life. Utilising winter rainfall, we replenish these wetlands, boosting their ecological vitality. Additionally, we have installed three pipes to help the refilling process during heavy rains, ensuring their functionality as drainage zones.

These rejuvenated wetlands now serve as vital habitats, providing nesting grounds for ducks and serving as drinking points for all mammals. They also support diverse ecosystems, catering for populations of batrachians, dragonflies, birds, and more. Through these efforts, we've revitalised these landscapes into thriving havens for wildlife.
