Two former wetlands have been restored to their natural state.
Previously, these areas had become overgrown with reeds, losing their function as shelters for amphibians, watering places for mammals, and feeding grounds for herons and other wading birds. We decided to restore and clean up these wetlands while retaining the reeds cut around the edges to form barriers against erosion and assist with the rejuvenation of this habitat for local species.
These areas are now home to a multitude of animal and insect life, crucial to the survival of local ecosystems that provide numerous services we rely on.
