This Cape Dwarf Chameleon (Bradypodion pumilum), classified as Endangered (EN), was found crossing one of our roads at Atlantic Beach. Our Landscaping team quickly took action and safely released it into the nearby Conservation Area. At Atlantic Beach, we are deeply committed to protecting and respecting our biodiversity!
Did you know that Cape Dwarf Chameleons are remarkably accurate at catching their prey? Their tongues can extend to twice the length of their bodies, significantly increasing their reach. These chameleons typically drink by licking dew or raindrops off surfaces.
