Here at La Reserva Golf Club, we have been able to remove 250,000 square meters of bermudagrass rough. Wild olive trees have been planted in these newly generated areas, with mulch from pruning lining the surface of the soil, helping us to find a practial use for our agriculrural waste.
Furthermore, by replacing these grassy areas with trees, we have also been able to increase carbon sequestration, improve local air quality, conserve water, enhance biodiversity, preserve our natural soils and add aesthetic value to the course.
